Students from the USA

If you are interested in working on your bachelor's or master's thesis or another research project at TU Graz and you are currently studying at the university in the USA, you may apply for a Marshall Plan Scholarship.

Application Requirements

  • you are a regular student at a university in the USA
  • your stay at TU Graz lasts at least 3 months but no longer than 10 months (excluding day of arrival and day of departure)

Students at Partner Universities in the Summer Programmes

TU Graz organises annual summer programmes with the following partner universities:

  • Syracuse University and University of Novi Sad– in Chemistry
  • Wayne State University – open for all subjects at TU Graz
  • City College of New York – open for all subjects at TU Graz

The application period starts in January and, depending on the programme, lasts until mid May.

Erasmus+ Traineeship

Application Requirements
Your home university is located in one of the 28 EU Member States, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and Turkey.

Erasmus Mundus

Erasmus Mundus is a cooperation and mobility programme in the field of higher education that aims to enhance the quality of European higher education and to promote dialogue and understanding between people and cultures through cooperation with Third-Countries.

CEEPUS

Exchange among universities of the CEEPUS network of middle and Eastern European countries. The universities take part in the network mobility programme.

Application Requirements

  • You are a citizen of a CEEPUS member state
  • You have completed at least 2 semesters of the degree programme for which you are applying
  • Duration of stay at TU Graz:
    • student: at least 3 and at most 10 months
    • short term student: 1 to 2 months
  • Before applying, it is necessary to contact the responsible CEEPUS network  partner /coordinator

Best of South-East Scholarship

In cooperation with the University of Graz, University of Music and Performing Arts Graz and TU Graz, the Steiermärkische Sparkasse (Styrian Bank) initiated "Best of South-East", an advancement and continuing education programme for talented and dedicated graduates and students from Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro and Macedonia. 

Application Requirements

  • Language skills in English (level C1) or German (level B2)
  • Citizenship: Slovenian, Bosnian and Herzegovinian, Croatian, Serbian, Montenegrin or the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (F.Y.R.O.M)
  • Excellent grades
  • Students need to have completed at least 4 semesters of their Bachelor’s degree by the time of the application
  • Doctoral students require a letter of confirmation from the supervisor of your dissertation at TU Graz (please note that you yourself are responsible for finding a supervisor)
  • Dedication, strong communication skills, adaptability, ability to solve both analytical and practical problems
