The preparation of a doctoral thesis is of great importance at the Institute for Urban Development. The junior researchers work on foundations as well as empirical and applied examples on topical issues of urban planning. The dissertations are developed in cooperation with other renowned research institutions.
The doctoral degree course teaches the ability to conduct research in architecture independently on a high scientific level. Through the research-led study, students gain in-depth knowledge in urban studies.
