Born in Vöcklabruck, Upper Austria. I graduated at the University of Leoben in the field of industrial environmental engineering in 2010 with a focus on process engineering. I currently work as a project assistant at the Institute for Process and Particle Engineering.
The goal of my current project is to simulate a stirred tank bioreactor at high gas hold-ups. The multi-phase and multi-scale simulation is very challenging in terms of computational power and numerical stability. My computational results are validated with experimental data from our 1.5 cubic meter stirred tank reactor. Therefore, I measure the gas hold-up using a conductivity probe at various operating conditions.
