Alireza Jafarinia

Alireza Jafarinia was born in Shiraz, Iran, in 1989. He is a dedicated researcher and engineer with a strong background in Mechanical Engineering. He completed his Bachelor's studies at Persian Gulf University. He continued his academic journey and obtained a Master's from Yazd University, Iran. During his Master's studies, he specialized in generating computational fluid dynamics (CFD) programs with Fortran, focusing on numerical simulations of transport equations using finite volume methods. He also spent one year in "Applied and Computational Mathematics" master's program at the University of Bergen, Norway. His passion for interdisciplinary research caused him to pursue the PhD in "thrombus formation and growth in aortic dissections" offered by the Institute of Strength of Materials. He started his PhD in June 2018. His dedication and hard work led to successfully completing his Ph.D. with distinction in November 2022.

Currently, as a postdoctoral researcher at IFL under the guidance of Professor Thomas Hochrainer, Alireza is actively involved in conducting cutting-edge research. He is also a valued member of the international team at Graz Center of Computational Engineering (GCCE). With a diverse academic and professional background, Alireza is committed to pushing the boundaries of knowledge and making significant contributions to the field of computational fluid dynamics and beyond.
