Transport Processes and Rheology

Transport Processes and Rheology

Fluid flow transports mass, momentum and energy. The physics of transport processes in flows with heat and mass transfer is investigated by numerical simulations, analytical models and experiments, also for rheologically complex fluids.

Welcome to the Institute of Fluid Mechanics and Heat Transfer

In the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Economics, the institute represents the fields of fluid mechanics and heat transfer in teaching and research. The courses taught introduce the students into theoretical methods and technical applications. Detailed knowledge is advanced in numerical and analytical methods of fluid mechanics and heat transfer, and in gas dynamics, as well as in experimental techniques.
