From June 1–3, 2026, Gergö Horvath and Muhammad Yusro participated in the European Hydrogen PhD Conference (EPHyC) in Trondheim, Norway. The conference brings together PhD researchers from across Europe working on hydrogen-related topics, providing a platform for scientific exchange, feedback, collaboration, and the exploration of interdisciplinary research opportunities.
The program featured presentations by most participating PhD students, as well as technical excursions, including a visit to SINTEF's low-temperature proton exchange membrane fuel cell laboratory.
Representing CEET, Muhammad Yusro presented his research on the development of membrane electrode assemblies with modified nanofiber structures. Gergö Horvath presented his work on extending the lifetime of proton exchange membrane fuel cells through a condition-based end-of-first-life definition to enhance circularity.
The conference provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen international networks, exchange ideas, and gain new perspectives on hydrogen research.
