Welcome to the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Geodesy

Research 1

Research 1

  • Application of statistical methods in clinical and ecolocical studies
Research 2

Research 2

  • Analysis of battery charging processes on an atomic scale
Geodesy

Geodesy

  • Satellite based monitoring of the sea level change

Exposure to topical issues such as these prepares the students for careers in research, industry, and business.

The 12 Institutes of the faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Geodesy jointly offer internationally recognized studies in their fields and focus their expertise on the following four high profile topics:

  • Discrete structures and analysis

  • Functional and Quantum materials

  • Change monitoring of system Earth

  • Computational Science and Engineering

These internationally recognized research areas have a high societal relevance. They promote the digitalization of science and contribute to the sustainability goals set  by the United Nations.

Introducing the three departments of the faculty
