Business Upper Austria is the business agency of Upper Austria. We shape and coordinate the economic and research strategy of the state and support companies in Upper Austria. Providing comprehensive support for investment projects is the focus for our Investor and Location Department. The topic of available business locations plays an important role here. For this reason, we work intensively and proactively with municipalities and regions on the forward-looking development of business sites. From the companies’ point of view, the name of a location is not decisive when choosing a site. Municipal boundaries are of little importance here, but other location factors count. For this reason, the INKOBA model (inter-municipal business location) has been a focus in Upper Austria for a very long time with the initiative of the business location agency, and we are constantly developing it further.
