Oral Presentations

Information for presenting authors:

Please prepare a Power-Point-Presentation (or similar) in 16:9 format and bring it with you to the conference on a USB-drive. We ask all presenting authors (conference sessions and special sessions) to upload their presentations at our upload center at the conference venue beforehand (if possible, the day before the presentation).

You will have 12 minutes time to present your work (plus 3 minutes discussion). In sessions with less than six presentations, the time for presentation and/or discussion will be longer. Your session chair will inform you about the time schedule before the beginning of the session.

Please arrive at the room where your session takes place 10 minutes before the start. This way the session chair can explain the schedule, and our staff can check if all presentations have been uploaded correctly.

You can see the conference schedule here, your session will be highlighted after logging in to ConfTool. The order of the presentations within a session will likely be the same as in the ConfTool session overview.

Full Paper Preparation

The Call for Abstracts was open until 30 November 2018.

If your abstract was accepted, please prepare your full paper of 6 to 8 pages (if necessary, the references can exceed this maximum number of pages) in English language according to the following guidelines and submit it via the online conference management system until the extended deadline 24 March 2019.

Templates:
To prepare your paper for publication, you are required to use the template (either Microsoft Word or LaTeX) provided by IOP Science here. When preparing your full paper, please refer to the guidelines provided by IOP Science under the same link.

Submission:
During the submission process, authors are required to submit their manuscript as two separate files:
•          one pdf file including author information
•          one pdf file WITHOUT visible author information for the double-blind peer review.

After the review process, you will be asked to revise your paper and submit your final upload, including a doc/docx/tex file and a pdf file.

Deadlines:
The deadline for paper submission is 24 March 2019.
There will be time for revision after the review process. Information about final acceptance is planned for May 2019.
Please note that it will only be after the review process that we will be able to decide whether your contribution is suitable for an oral presentation or will be presented as a poster. Both contribution types will be published as full papers in the proceedings.

We will offer an early bird registration fee if you register for participation in the conference before 31 May 2019. Because of the tight schedule to finalize the proceedings in time for the conference, the deadline to register is 23 June 2019. Registration can be made via ConfTool. We will inform you when registration opens.

Publishing:
With the conditions that your paper is accepted and that you or a co-author will attend the conference to present it, your paper will be published open-access in IOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmenal Science (EES) and indexed (with a DOI-number) in Conference Proceedings Citation Index—Science (CPCI-S) (Thomson Reuters, Web of Science), Scopus, GeoBase, Georef, Compendex, Inspec, Chemical Abstracts Service, NASA Astrophysics Data System and INIS (International Nuclear Information System).

Important information:
Per person there will be no more than one oral presentation possible. If you have more than one accepted full paper, we offer the opportunity to present it as a poster and have it published for a small additional publishing fee of € 70.00. Otherwise, one of your co-authors shall be registered as presenting author.
